Project
AEO Desk
A Windows app that checks whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude can find, read and cite your website, and writes the fixes.
What it does
- Scores one URL across six weighted checks, from AI-crawler access and llms.txt to structured data and trust signals.
- Tests robots.txt against 10 named answer-engine crawlers using Google's own matching rules.
- Generates copy-paste fixes: an llms.txt draft, a robots.txt patch and missing JSON-LD.
How it works
A Rust backend inside Tauri fetches the page (at most 12 requests per scan), runs the six checks and explains every finding in plain English. A React UI shows the score and the fixes; scan history stays in local SQLite. No account, server or telemetry.
The honest bit
Windows only for now, and there is no published installer yet. The score measures what AI crawlers can access and parse, not whether an answer engine will actually cite you.
